LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS
Supplies- Imports Export
* Cheniere signed a LNG sale and purchase agreement with GAIL (India) Limited under which GAIL has agreed to purchase approximately 3.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG.
* ConocoPhillips liquefied natural gas plant in Nikiski, located in Alaska, will resume exports in 2012.
Storage
* Excelerate Energy executed an agreement with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority to undertake the development and permitting of a floating offshore LNG regasification facility off the southern coast of the country.
NATURAL GAS
Production
* Alberta's Energy Resources Conservation Board issued a decision decreeing that 691 natural gas wells in the Athabasca oil sands area must be shut.
* Danish natural gas production should total 5.6 billion normal cubic meters in 2011, a 21% decline from 2010.
* Iran said that it would launch full-scale unilateral development of the offshore Arash gas field in the Gulf if Kuwait does not respond to its offer of joint development.
* Total announced it has taken, together with Novatek, the final investment decision to develop the Termokarstovoye gas and condensates field.
* Repsol YPF and ENI signed a deal with PDVSA to develop Perla field in Venezuela.
Transportation - Distribution
* The Galsi natural gas pipeline connecting Algeria to Italy via Sardinia will not be online before 2015.
* The Bulgarian Ministry for Energy announced that the construction process of the Greek-Bulgarian interconnector pipeline will commence by March 2012.
* Turkey issued permits to Gazprom for its South Stream natural gas pipeline to be built under Turkish territorial waters
* The starting ceremony of Uzbekistan section of Central Asian Gas Pipeline Line C was held at Gazli, 110 kilometers away from Bukhara.

* Colombia and Chevron Corp. agreed to continue exporting natural gas to Venezuela for two-and-a-half years more.
Storage
* Naftogaz Ukrainy is studying the possibility of leasing underground gas storage facilities to companies that will produce gas in Ukraine.

LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS
Processing
* Sabine Pass Liquefaction, LLC and Bechtel Oil, Gas and Chemicals, Inc. entered into a lump sum turnkey contract for the engineering, procurement and construction of the first two liquefaction trains.
Supplies- Imports Export
* Inpex secured sale agreements with Tokyo Electric Power Company, Tokyo Gas, Kansai Electric Power Company, Osaka Gas and Kyushu Electric Power Company for the supply of four million tonnes of LNG per annum over 15 years from Australias Ichthys project.
* Australia Pacific LNG Pty Ltd and China Petrochemical Corporation signed a Heads of Agreement establishing non-binding key commercial terms for the sale and purchase of an additional 3.3 million tonnes per annum of LNG through to 2035.
* GDF SUEZ and Petronet LNG Limited signed an agreement extending along 2012 under which GDF SUEZ will sell Petronet about 0.6 million tons of liquefied natural gas.
* Partners in Papua New Guinea's Liquid Niugini Gas liquefaction project signed recently a heads of agreement to supply China's ENN Energy Trading with 1 million-1.5 million mt/year of LNG.
* Qatargas inked a sales and purchase agreement with Chubu Electric Power Company and Shizuoka Gas Company for the supply of 0.2 million tons per annum of LNG.
* Taiwans CPC Corporation signed a 20-year contract with RasGas to buy 1.5 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas a year.
* The U.S. Department of Energy granted recently a 30-year license for Jordan Cove Energy to export 9 million metric tons of LNG per year.

* Ukraine postponed the construction of a liquefied natural gas terminal due to a lack of funding.
NATURAL GAS
Production
* Woodside Petroleum approved the development of the Greater Western Flank Phase 1 gas project off the Australian coast
* Repsol reaffirmed the commitment to develop Caipipendi area and to triple natural gas production capacity by 2012 in Bolivia.
* Petroleos Mexicanos announced that the Nen 1 deep water exploratory well in the Gulf of Mexico found a deposit estimated to hold 400 billion cubic feet of gas.
* Gazprom commenced gas production from the Nydinskaya area in the Medvezhye field in Russia. The area is expected to reach the projected output of 2.3 billion cubic meters of gas and over 5 thousand tons of gas condensate per annum.
Reserves
* Irans oil minister announced discovery of a gas field containing an estimated 50 trillion cubic feet of gas in the Caspian Sea.
Transportation - Distribution
* Mexican President outlined the Strategy for Structural Change in the Natural Gas Market, which involves construction of nearly 4,500 km of natural gas pipelines over the next few years.
Supplies- Imports Export
* Kazakhstan agreed on an extra 10 million cubic metres delivery of gas to Kyrgyzstan.
* Polands PKN Orlen will import about 90 million cubic metres of natural gas from Germany in 2012.

LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS
Supplies- Imports Export
* GDF SUEZ and Petronet LNG signed a liquefied natural gas agreement extending over 2012.
* Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corp, said that Japan's LNG demand will grow by 20 million tonnes in 2012.
* Cheniere Energy Partners entered into a liquefied natural gas sale and purchase agreement with Gas Natural Aprovisionamientos, a subsidiary of Gas Natural Fenosa.
Storage
* China National Offshore Oil Corp will build the first floating liquefied natural gas facility. The project would be able receive 2.2 million tonnes of the fuel per year.
NATURAL GAS
Production
* Repsol expects production from Bolivia's Margarita natural gas fields swelling to 14 million cubic meters per day by 2014.
* Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering signed an agreement to develop Israel's Tamar natural gas field.
Reserves
* Cove Energy upgraded recently its gas reserves in the Rovuma Basin, offshore Mozambique. Recoverable resource ranges are now estimated to be 15 to 30-plus trillion cubic feet of gas.
Processing
* Iraq signed a deal with Royal Dutch Shell PLC and Mitsubishi Corp. to capture and process flared gas from southern Iraqi oil fields.
Transportation - Distribution
* The final investment decision on the Nabucco gas pipeline project will be made in early 2013.
* Leaders of Germany and Russia inaugurated recently the Nord Stream pipeline which transports gas from Vyborg to Lubmin.

* According to the projections made by oil ministry of India for the 12th Five Year Plan (2012-2013 to 2016-2017), current gas demand of 189 mmscmd is likely to rise to 473 mmscmd.
* Gazprom has taken control of Beltransgaz as part of a revised energy deal with Belarus.

LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS
Supplies- Imports Export
* PT PLN and PT Pertamina signed a heads of agreement on liquefied natural gas supply for PLNs power plants in eastern Indonesia.
* Japan's additional demand for LNG in the wake of the earthquake and tsunami and the resultant shutdown of nuclear power generation capacity, is expected be around 10 million-15 million mt/year.
* Rasgas, the Qatar based LNG producer will deliver 4.5 billion cubic metres of natural gas a year to EDF.
Storage
* GDF Suez will provide China National Offshore Oil Corporation Ltd. with a vessel to store and regasify liquefied natural gas offshore.
* The recently inaugurated Gulf LNG terminal at Pascagoula, Missouri, has a capacity of 5 million tonne/year.
NATURAL GAS
Production
* GDF Suez E&P Nederland started-up r gas production from the G16a-C offshore field, located in the Dutch continental shelf.

Noble Energy, Inc. announced a gas discovery at the Leviathan exploration prospect offshore Israel. The results from the well confirm the pre-drill estimated resource range of 450 billion cubic meters.

China National Offshore Oil Corp expects gas and oil output to exceed 200 million metric tons of oil equivalent by 2020, including 50 million tons of liquefied natural gas -***- Dana Gas production in Egypt increased 20 percent in 2010.

Petrofac started work on the second phase of the South Yolotan gas project for Turkmengaz.
Transportation - Distribution
The National Energy Board approved the applications for the construction and operation of the Mackenzie Gas Project through Canada's North -***- The Egyptian gas would reach Turkey via Syria at the beginning of 2011 through the four outlets of the Arab Gas Pipeline.

State Oil Company of Azerbaijan plans to sign a series of agreements with Turkey on the sale and transit of natural gas -***- From 2012 to 2030, Wingas will supply up to a billion cubic meters of natural gas a year to Dutch company Eneco -***- In USA, Energy Information Agency published its Natural Gas Annual, 2009 -***- Gazprom and Uzbekneftegaz, signed a gas purchase contracts for 2011-2012 and an agreement for gas transmission.
Storage
Fluxys and Gazprom Export will study the options for Gazprom Export to reserve long-term storage capacity at the underground storage site in Loenhout in Belgium -***- The Origin/Contact Energy consortium has been granted permission to proceed to fully commissioning the Ahuroa underground gas storage facility in New Zealand.
