The CEDIGAZ Underground Gas Storage Database contains information about around 686 existing UGS facilities worldwide, 95 projects under construction and more than 141 projects at different stages of planning. It is the only worldwide Underground Storage Database to be updated each year.

The UGS database countains the following information:

  • Location (Region, Country, State/Province, County/City)
  • Name of the facility
  • Storage System Operator
  • Storage Status (in operation, under construction, planned, cancelled...)
  • Storage type (Depleted oil/gas field, Salt cavern, Aquifer...)
  • Year commissioned / expected start-up date
  • Working gas capacity
  • Cushion gas volume
  • Peak withdrawal rate
