EPS in 600th STS LNG bunkering op

Singapore’s Eastern Pacific Shipping has completed its 600th ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operation as the company’s fleet of LNG-fueled vessels continues to expand.

The shipping firm announced the new milestone in a social media post on Friday.

During the operation, the 7,500-cbm bunkering vessel FueLNG Bellina, owned by a JV of Shell and Seatrium, supplied LNG to EPS’s dual-fuel PCTC CMA CGM Indianapolis in Singapore.

This 2023-built PCTC serves a charter deal with CMA CGM’s unit CEVA Logistics.

EPS did not provide further details.

The shipping firm completed its first LNG bunkering operation in November 2020, the 50th operation in September 2022, the 100th operation in June 2023, the 250th operation in 2024, the 500th operation last year, and the 550th operation in January this year.

The company has a large fleet of LNG-powered vessels, including containerships, tankers, bulkers, and PCTCs.

EPS previously said that its fleet includes 137 LNG dual-fuel vessels.

According to its website, EPS manages 355 vessels, including 177 dual-fuel ships.
