Nebula Energy’s AG&P LNG has received the third commercial liquefied natural gas cargo at its Cai Mep LNG import terminal in Vietnam.
AG&P LNG said on Friday that the LNG carrier Lucia Ambition delivered the cargo from Malaysia’s Bintulu on August 28.
Moreover, the cargo was discharged into the terminal’s onshore storage tanks, “replenishing inventory for continued deliveries of LNG-to-power and LNG truck distribution to industrial customers across Vietnam,” AG&P LNG said.
Lucia Ambition, previously known as Aman Bintulu, is a 1993-built small-scale LNG carrier with a capacity of 18,900 cbm. The vessel visited the Petronas-operated Bintulu LNG complex last week, according to AIS data provided by VesselsValue.
AG&P LNG noted that the third cargo follows the terminal’s second cargo that was received in July this year and marks the terminal’s
“progression towards a regular import schedule.”
In July, the company announced that it has started delivering natural gas from the LNG import terminal to the 900 MW Phu My 2.1 and 2.1E power plants operated by EVNGENCO3.
Regasified LNG from Cai Mep is delivered by pipeline to the Phu My power complex, with dispatch coordinated with Vietnam’s National System and Market Operator (NSMO), and distributed by LNG trucks to industrial customers through the terminal’s seven LNG truck loading bays.
In addition to the newest shipment, AG&P LNG said the facility is scheduled to receive its fourth cargo in October 2026, supporting continued LNG-to-power deliveries and supply to industrial customers.

Last year, AG&P LNG and Vietnam’s Hai Linh received the first commissioning cargo at their Cai Mep LNG import terminal.
In April this year, AG&P LNG agreed to acquire a 100 percent stake in the LNG import terminal.
The move followed AG&P LNG’s initial acquisition announcement of a 49 percent stake in 2024, from Hai Linh.
The Cai Mep facility is the second LNG import facility in Vietnam, adding to the PetroVietnam Gas-operated Thi Vai LNG terminal in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
